Apple Gift Card vs App Store & iTunes Card: Buy the Right Credit
Buy an Apple Gift Card when the recipient needs the current combined instrument in a country where Apple offers it; redeem a compatible App Store & iTunes card into Apple Account balance in the matching country, then check the uses Apple supports there. In countries where Apple Gift Card is available, Apple says that combined balance may also fund eligible products and accessories. An older Apple Store Gift Card may be limited to Apple retail or online products. Similar logos do not make the instruments interchangeable.

Apple tells users to inspect the card type and its wording. The exact product page and code instructions take priority over a generic “Apple credit” label.
Country matching comes before the denomination
Apple says its gift cards cannot be redeemed outside the country or region where they were purchased. Choose the product’s market for the recipient’s Apple Account rather than changing a storefront display currency.
A USD, GBP or EUR number is a face value inside a program. Paying Giftoshi in crypto does not alter Apple’s account-country rule.
